Warlitter Warlord - Painted

A little back story behind this model, I had decided to make this model 2 years ago in the middle of 8th edition. The warlitter was an army book option that had never gotten a model.
Inspired by the dwarfs shield bearers holding a dwarf Lord aloft. I decided I wanted to do something similar and have 4 stormvermin hold up the warlord on a shield.
The shield itself is 6 Stormvermin shields carefully filed and glued together, the warlord is from the island of blood set, with the banners and hero rock cut off, I also removed the of hand weapon and replaced it with the hell pit Abomination belly plate.
Whilst I had planned for the longest time to use 4 stormvermin as the bearers I even had the models ready arms aloft. At the last moment I changed my mind and choose 4 armoured clanrat models, with stormvermin shields. I did this because I couldn't get the vermin to hold the litter in a steady position, where as the clanrats had a similar height.
No self respecting warlord with except wobbly bearers to carry him into battle.

The paint job is fairly standard for this army now. Bronze and brass metal suitably rusted. The Red cloth on the warlord and the bearers is darkened with a purple that i thinned with medium then layered back up to red. My hope was to make it look richer than the usual muddy Brown I usually wash with.

Below are a few photos featuring the Plague Priest I did last. These are done in natural daylight, so are less shiny compared to the last blog post of the Plague Priest.

For Christmas I got very lucky, and was treated to these 2 big boys. That should keep me occupied for a could of months.
