Battle report - Host of the Eternity King vs Skaven - 2000 points

After painting up some of his spearmen my friend Pete came over, we made a night of it and had a game as well. He was keen to test out the "Host of the Eternity King" army list, so we had a proxy heavy game.
We decided not to use the Khaine magic rules, as we wanted to test the list rather than our luck at dice rolling.

Skaven Deployment

Doomwheel
Rat pack
Warp light cannon
50 slaves + mus
41 storm vermin + full command
Grey seer on bell (Skalm' Fencer blades, Earthing rod, dragonbane Gem)
Bsb (4++)
Assassin(weeping blades, potion of strength)
51 slaves + Mus
Hell pit abomination

Verminious horde

9 scouting gutter runners (poison and slings)

Sneaky Skaven Scouts
Elven Deployment
10 White lions
Hydra
20 Eternal Guard
Arch mage lvl 4
Hidden Assasin (stuff)
10 Glade Guard (hagbane)
15 Executioners(flaming banner)
Death hag on Cauldron of blood
5 Brolocks
5 Ambushing Glade Riders.

Elven Host

Skaven spells - Bless with filth, Cloud of Corruption, Wither, Plague.
Elven Spells - Apotheosis, Drain Magic, Walk between Worlds, Arcane Unforging and warlocks spells.

Elven turn 1
With the plus one to the roll off, the elves easily steal first turn , Elves move forward aggressively whilst playing the charge dance.
Magic is 8-6. White lions walk between worlds out onto the flank. All else is dispelled or fails.
The Gladegaurd shooting slips a wound on to the Abomination.
Elven turn 1
Skaven turn 1
The charge dance continues, the Abomination, enraged at the wound, charges forward, but the elves have guessed the range well and it falls short of the elven lines.
Magic is 8-6, 2 dice bless with filth onto the slaves. 6 dice plague at the Cauldron unit, it goes of with irresistible force, but it's effects are mainly nullified by the Cauldrons magic resistance and only causing a couple of elves to drop. The miscast would have burn out the greyseer's brain, if not for the timely use of the earthing rod.
Gutter runners clip a wound of the Hydra, but the Cannons hit (strength 6) is negated by the Cauldrons ward.
Skaven turn 1

Elven Host turn 2
Hydra charges the Abomination, But the whitelions fail to make the flank charge into the same combat (7 needed on 2d6, he rolled a 5)
Winds of magic blow weakly 3-2 and the doombolt the warlocks attempt is easily dispelled by the seer.
Elven shooting see's the glade guard land some damage on the Screaming Bell. The Glade riders ambush from behind but their shoots fails to damage the Skaven cannon.
In combat the Abomination takes a massive bite out of the Hydra, who in it's panic to get away from the feeding abomination only does one wound in return. The Hydra breaks and runs, the Abomination chases it down and slams into the Eternal Gaurd behind.

Abombs pursuit roll is huge!

And takes it right into the Eternal Guard!

End of Elven turn 2

Skaven turn 2
The doomwheel see's an oppertunity to about face and roll through I small gap to collide with the Glade Riders. Needing an above average roll, I get lucky.
Slaves run up in front of the Cauldron, to redirect it from the Abomination.
Magic is 9-8, I try to cast wither, bless with filth and plague but all are dispelled.
Skaven shooting see the gutter runners kill 3 glade guard, and the cannon knocks off 2 more Executioners. The Doomwheel Zaps 3 Glade Riders.
In combat, impact hits finish the rest of the Glade Riders.
Else where the Eternal Gaurd flail desperately at the Abomination, but even the Assassin in there ranks is unable to cause enough damage to the monster, in return the beast continues it's feeding frenzy gobling up the Assassin whole, take 2 chunks out of the Arch mage, and eating and stomping on 10 more elves, the Eternal guard are stubborn are refused to flee from the beast.

Skaven turn 2

And the now clear backfield.

Elven turn 3
With few other options the Hag directs her Cauldron into the slaves. The Glade gaurd charge the Abomination to relive the Eternal guard.
Elven magic is 6-4, but a one dice Apotheosis, fails ending the Archmages casting. The Brolocks try to boost doombolt, but are not able to summon enough power.
In the combats, the Cauldron crew and escourt are able to smash 10 slaves to pulp, but the 40 remaining drag 3 of the Executioners down and hold.
Desperate to take down the Abomination, the Eternal and Glade guard hack at it, but are only able to cause 1 wound (1 remaining). Further enraged the beast continues it's feeding frenzy, swallowing 5 Glade guard, 3 Eternal guard and an Archmage. Surviving Glades break and run, But the Eternal champion holds allowing his comrades to escape (a noble sacrifice).

Elven turn 3

Lone survivor!

Skaven turn 3
The Bell unit charges at the fleeing Glade guard, then redirects into the Cauldron unit. The other slave unit positions it self to hold up the White lions.
Magic is 9-7, Plague is dispelled, slaves get poison attacks, and the Cauldron unit gets withered!
Gutter runners shoot and kill 3 white lions who panic and flee! Cannon blasts down 3 of the Brolocks.
The last surviving Eternal guard has a chance for glory, the Abomination has one wound left.......but alas under an avalanche of flesh all that remains is a bloody smear.

From the ranks of the Storm Vermin a Skaven assassin appears, after drinking the contents of a potion bottle he calls out a challenge to the Hag, stepping down the Cauldron she accepts with a sneer. They attack at the same time but the skaven is the more agile fighter, taking a hit in the fight he delivers 2 in return. The poison of it's weeping blades, take quick effect causing the Hag to sag and fall to the floor.

With the death of their leader the ramaining elves lose heart and flee. The skaven seeing an easy meal, chash them down.

End of game victorious Skaven

Game ends with a decisive Skaven Victory!

Green dice are the Cauldrons flee roll!

Grey seer Kye, stood proud upon his Screaming Bell, his verminious horde had driven the elf-man things from the field of battle with only a tenth of the normal loses any other skaven commander would have suffered, Clearly his tactical brilliance was a sign of he was favoured by the Horned Rat. Now to pursue them back to their camp and take many slaves for his experiments.....

Far away on a hill with a clear view of the battle, two Elven lords stood and watched the battle unfold in grim silence. Upon seeing the rat men pursuing retreating Elven host one breaks the silence,
"A costly feint....."
"Indeed, but it worked none the less. Come let us take our place in the ambush, to avenge our fallen brothers and sister's."
